Inside WinMail

Welcome to my new site, the successor to Inside Outlook Express. It seems quite bare at the moment, but I will be adding much more material over the days ahead as I update old articles and write new ones.

Who am I? I’m Tom in Amsterdam. I like to think I have the heart of an artist, the spirit of an actor, and the mind of a scientist. It may seem a strange combination, but it has worked for me since 1983 when I began my first computer job and, just ten days later, had my first lesson in the Alexander Technique. Both computers and Alexander have been central to my life since then, and form the basis of Tomsterdam, my small business providing web presence and computer support to artists, freelancers and start-ups, as well as instruction in the Alexander Technique.

I was awarded nine years in a row with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award in recognition of my contributions in Microsoft newsgroups helping people use and understand Outlook Express. I no longer participate in those newsgroups and have instead created the Inside WinMail Community forums. Anyone can join and ask anything at all about e-mail for Windows, newsreaders for Windows, or the weather in Amsterdam. I like online communities, so come on in and get acquainted.
